How to store fresh fish
- The best storage temperature for fresh fish is -1 °C to + 1 °C.
- Fresh fish must not be stored in a plastic bag, it is only meant for transport.
- Meat of fresh fish is tender and should be handled with care. All damage accelerates the spoilage of fish.
- When thawing fish, avoid contact of the melting water with the fish by placing the fish on a surface from which the water can be drained.
- Always use fresh fish for food purposes as soon as possible!
